Richard Borell

Throughout his career, Borell has served in sales and marketing for both print and digital media. With a marketing degree from Ohio State University and an MBA from the Wharton School, he ran his own consulting company and trained media personnel for international clients. In Naples, he served as director of e-commerce for Premier Properties and later as Advertising Director for the Naples Daily News.

Reg Buxton,

A former member of the Naples City Council and past commissioner of the North Naples Fire and Rescue District, Buxton is publisher of “Life in Naples,” a high-end magazine covering all aspects of Naples life. A longtime philanthropist and civic leader, he has served on over twenty-five local charity and advisory boards. Previously Buxton did contract work for foreign governments and consulted for several U.S. agencies.

Marvin Easton – At Large Director

A retired IBM marketing executive whose career spanned 35 years, Easton worked in 29 countries and resided in seven. He has an engineering degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. A Naples resident for 24 years, Easton has served as director for the Port Royal POA, Naples Council of World Affairs, Greater Naples Leadership and the Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce. He is an expert on fire district operations and funding.

Murray Hendel,

cofounder and past president of the Collier Citizens Council, is a local icon. He has chaired the Tourist Development Council, Collier County Presidents Council, Gulf Shore Condominium Association and the Holocaust Museum of Southwest Florida. His many honors include the Community Leadership Award (2010), the Collier County Community Service Award (2015) and the Florida Jewish History Award (2017). A CPA, Hendel worked for the IRS and Gelco Corp., where he served as senior vice president. He received the National Presidential Award from President Lyndon Johnson in 1964.

Nancy Kerns – Secretary

Past president of Naples Better Government, Kerns is a graduate of the Indiana University School of Business. An entrepreneur, she started and ran a candle manufacturing business for many years. Locally, she has managed the Naples Visitor Center and worked for the Greater Naples, Marco Island and Everglades City Business Bureaus. Kerns currently serves on the Tourist Development Council and the Calusa Bay board of directors.

Tom Lansen – Vice President

A retired neurosurgeon, Lansen practiced for over thirty years specializing in cerebrovascular surgery. He got his medical degree at the Medical College of Wisconsin and did residencies at NYU and the University of Florida. He later taught at Yale and the New York Medical College. Lansen has served on many national boards and is currently a member of the Collier County ad hoc Committee on Mental Health and Substance Abuse.

Mike Lyster

Former head of the Collier County Republican Executive Committee and current vice-chair of the county’s Productivity Committee, Lyster is a U.S. Navy veteran and former submariner. He is a national expert on energy, having managed nuclear power plants in three states. Past president of the Florida council of the Boy Scouts of America, Lyster currently serves as board chairman of the Naples Community Church.

Ian McKeag – President

A financial executive who founded and ran a mergers & acquisitions firm, the Scottish Capital group, McKeag managed impaired corporate and real estate assets for bank holding companies in Houston, Washington DC and New York City. A graduate of Amherst College, he served locally as treasurer of the Pelican Bay Foundation board and is currently a trustee and vice president of the Naples Community Church.

Linda Penniman – Immediate Past President

Former member of the Naples City Council and past vice-mayor of Naples, Penniman has held numerous leadership positions in Collier County, including president of the Moorings POA and chair of the Coastal Advisory Committee. She currently serves as chair of the WGCU Advisory Board. Penniman recently founded the Florida Center for Government Accountability and serves as CEO and board chairman.

Rose Prescott

An entrepreneur who founded and ran Prescott Interiors, a retail business specializing in home furnishings, accessories and interior design services, Prescott subsequently offered design and decorating services from a home office. She currently serves on the Calusa Bay board of directors.

Bob Raymond – Treasurer

A cofounder of the Collier Citizens Council, Raymond is a graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology and former marketing executive of DuPont and Enthone OMI. Locally, he owned and operated “The Coffee Beanery” in downtown Naples for many years. Past treasurer of Naples Better Government, Raymond has served on numerous local boards and is currently a member of the county’s Coastal Advisory Committee.

Charlette Roman – Advisor

An Army War College graduate with an MBA, Roman is a retired U.S. Army colonel with 26 years of military service. She commanded the U.S. Army Garrison at Ft. Gordon, Georgia. In retirement, she served on the Marco Island City Council and Collier County Planning Commission. The recipient of numerous awards, she was appointed by the governor to the South Florida Water Management District.

Bob Roth

A licensed professional engineer, Roth served as president and managing partner of JMC, PLLC, a consulting firm dealing with civil engineering, landscape architecture and environmental studies. He was also an officer for a number of Westchester County non-profit organizations. In retirement, he cofounded and served as managing partner of Clean Marco Waters, LLC. Roth currently is a member of the Coastal Advisory Committee.

Dave Trecker,

Cofounder and past president of the Collier Citizens Council, Trecker is a PhD chemist (University of Chicago) and retired senior vice president of Pfizer. Locally he chaired the Pelican Bay Foundation, Pelican Bay POA, Naples Better Government, Collier County Presidents Council and the Coastal Advisory Committee. An award-winning photographer, Trecker writes a weekly column for “Florida Weekly.”

Russell Tuff,

Current president of the local Republican Men’s Club and former chairman of the Collier County Republican Executive Committee, Tuff is president of Social-Impact, a public relations firm specializing in electronic media, websites and outreach. He serves on the board of the Public Relations Society of America. Tuff previously won first prize for general excellence in Florida Press Association Newspaper competition.

Bob Uek,

A retired partner of PricewaterhouseCooper specializing in investment management, Uek holds degrees from Boston College (BS) and the University of Massachusetts (MS). A recognized financial expert, he served as treasurer of the Pelican Bay Foundation, Raymond Moore Foundation and The Naples Players boards. Uek is an honorary trustee for the American Farm School & Perrotis College in Greece.

Van Zandt Williams

A PhD chemist from Yale, Williams began his career at Union Carbide where he held positions in business planning and financial analysis. He was subsequently appointed Vice President for Development at Princeton and headed fund-raising for the university. In retirement, Williams has served on many boards in both Princeton and Naples. Notably he was board chairman of the Conservancy of SWFL for four years, stepping down in 2022.

Eugene Wordehoff

Recipient of an MBA in finance (University of Chicago) and a PhD in industrial engineering (Northwestern), Wordehoff had a 40-year career in management and consulting with Fortune 500 companies. An expert in water quality, he now serves on the Marco Island Waterways Advisory Committee and the Collier County Water & Wastewater Authority. Wordehoff is currently enrolled at FGCU seeking an MS in Environmental Science.
